As Environmental Manager at Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, Kemas is responsible for overseeing all environmental planning, operational activities, and permitting within his organization, while spearheading the execution of ESG frameworks, targets, roadmaps, and monitoring tools. He works closely with the Board & Executive Committee to ensure that environmental & social aspects become the organization’s strong points, thereby ensuring operational sustainability for the future. He also develops an ESG risk matrix for his organization to complement the existing risk matrix procedure, providing a comprehensive ESG risk assessment from every aspect of its operations.
With over 17 years of dedicated experience in oil and gas environmental management, Kemas possesses in-depth expertise in Biodiversity Management, ESG strategy and implementation, ESG Risk Assessment, regulation and permitting, and Stakeholder Engagement. He held a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)
