Abstract Submission Guidelines & Rules

Submission deadline of Abstract close on Friday, 27 March 2026​

The following guidelines set out the requirements for abstract submission and presentation

Rules for Submission of Abstracts

  • Submission deadline is Friday, 27 March 2026
  • The presenting author must be listed as the first author.
  • The presenting author must ensure all co-authors have reviewed and approved the abstract content prior to submission.
  • Submitted abstracts should include non-published data.
  • Previously presented abstracts will not be accepted.
  • All necessary internal approvals, clearances, and availability to attend must be confirmed prior to submission.
  • Multiple abstracts may be submitted; however, only one oral presentation per presenter is permitted if selected.
  • All abstracts must be written in clear, professional English and include the following sections:

    • Title

    • Overview

    • Purpose

    • Method / Results

    • Conclusion

    Submissions should meet a standard suitable for conference publication, with accurate grammar and spelling.

  • Abstracts must be submitted under a specific Theme and Topic.

  • During the review process, priority will be given to abstracts that feature:

    • Technology-driven case studies

    • Presentations co-developed with customers

    • Innovative ideas, fresh insights, and cutting-edge technologies

    • New technologies, recent developments, and breakthrough research

    • Practical solutions addressing key challenges and opportunities in refining, petrochemicals, and energy transformation

    All submissions must deliver clear value to the audience.
    Sales-driven or promotional presentations will be rejected.

  • Abstracts will be evaluated by the Advisory Board based on:

    • Thematic and regional relevance

    • Significance and industry impact

    • Originality and level of innovation

    • Practicality and contribution to the industry

    • Avoid Biasness and Commercialism

    • Overall quality of content

  • Abstract submission is free of charge, however, speakers’ accepted abstracts would need to pay a speaker fee if not exhibiting/sponsoring at the event.

Rules for Presenting of Abstracts (For Accepted Abstracts)

  • If accepted, presentation slides should be shared with the organising team by Friday, 9 October 2026.
  • Each technical presentation is strictly limited to 20 minutes only. Inclusive of question and answer from the audience (optional).

Slide & Design Guidelines

  • Maximum of 16 slides per presentation

  • No company introductions are allowed

  • Slide ratio must be 16:9

  • We recommend keeping text to a minimum
  • Use large fonts for clarity

  • Support key points with graphs, charts, and tables

  • Ensure content follows a clear, logical flow
